We are happy to welcome you to our new website, and to introduce you to PARQUE DA TERRA NOVA (P.T.N.), our SHELTER FOR DOGS AT RISK AND WITH SPECIAL NEEDS in Northern Portugal – as well as to our activities, the many dogs in our care, and the campaigns we carry out for a more ethical, more responsible, and more respectful treatment of animals, and especially of pets, in our country – where, sadly, they are still victims of unacceptable mistreatment, neglect, and cruelty, due to insufficient and obsolete legislation, and to a great lack of social consciousness.
Our aim is also to bring about a greater international awareness not only to our particular mission, but also to the Portuguese reality in this area of animal welfare and protection, so, with this purpose, we have now created this new website especially for our English-speaking visitors.
