The P.T.N. Pack (Moments)

Life at P.T.N. is made of many lives – and each life is made of moments, and in each moment there are essential things we have to ensure to each one of all those lives: nourishment, hygiene, healthcare, special care for lives with special needs, attention, surveillance, safety, comfort, and, most of all, love. In P.T.N.’s life, each life matters, in every moment of the 24 hours in each day, and in all of the 365 or 366 days of each year. There are no breaks, there are no “I’ll see to that later”, there are no “I don’t feel like doing it now”, there are no “let’s leave it for tomorrow” in P.T.N.’s life – because each moment in each life is important and can’t be delayed, because each life is a dog… and, in the P.T.N. Pack, each dog is not just one more dog! We hope you may enjoy spending some moments in the company of the P.T.N. Pack - and your feedback is most welcome!

We are happy to welcome you to our new website, and to introduce you to PARQUE DA TERRA NOVA (P.T.N.), our SHELTER FOR DOGS AT RISK AND WITH SPECIAL NEEDS in Northern Portugal – as well as to our activities, the many dogs in our care, and the campaigns we carry out for a more ethical, more responsible, and more respectful treatment of animals, and especially of pets, in our country – where, sadly, they are still victims of unacceptable mistreatment, neglect, and cruelty, due to insufficient and obsolete legislation, and to a great lack of social consciousness.

Our aim is also to bring about a greater international awareness not only to our particular mission, but also to the Portuguese reality in this area of animal welfare and protection, so, with this purpose, we have now created this new website especially for our English-speaking visitors.

As our very busy time allows us, we hope to be adding more pages, articles, news, stories, photos, and videos in a near future.
Meanwhile, we, and especially all the dogs in our care, thank you, wholeheartedly, for your interest, and for visiting and sharing our website – your support is essential to us!
